absolutely delighted to take the reins. Operationally the business is very strong and I’m looking forward to applying some of my own ideas to take the company to the next level. Ken put his heart and soul into the business for the last 27 years and I wish him all the best in his very well-earned retirement.”

Roy Frost is back in the industry having bought prominent Eurocell fabricator GJB from previous owners Ken Blackman and Gary Bristow.
Previous owner Ken Blackman commented: “GJB has been a big part of my life for so long it was very important to me that I left the company in the right hands. When Roy expressed an interest I immediately knew it was the perfect fit.”
Roy will assume the position of MD, spearheading a new era of growth for the £12m turnover Essex based fabricator, while Ken Blackman will retire and Gary Bristow will continue in his role as Sales Director. Mike Wolstenholme also joins the company as Operations Director, having previously spent his career in window fabrication with Epwin Group, Everest and JELD-WEN.
Gary Bristow commented: “Ken has been instrumental in our journey from a small start-up and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his fantastic support. The acquisition is good news for staff, as it gives them job security, but it’s also good news for customers. Roy understands the challenges of installation and retailing in a competitive market and will bring an abundance of experience, fresh ideas plus bags of energy to the business.”
Commenting on the acquisition Roy said: “This is a fantastic business with a loyal customer base and I am

Yet during the early and latter parts of the day this glass technology offers a 60% light transmission, approaching that of a standard IGU, along with an impressive G-value of 34%.

Clayton Glass have just produced a time lapsed video to showcase their, self tinting SMARTGLASS® Dynamic in action.
Jason McCabe, commercial and site director commented: ‘The feedback has been phenomenal from the homeowners of the first few installations and this new video really does help convey how this dynamic glass technology works. With a 10-14 day delivery UK wide, availability in any shape and no requirement for wires and controls, we believe this is certainly the future technology that the industry will adopt in the coming years.
It shows how, in just a matter of a few minutes, the transformation of each individual glass pane throughout a hot summer’s day, in one of their first conservatory roof installations.
This new video is posted on the website at martglass-dynamic and at 2:39 minutes long, visually show the change in state of the conservatory
