With a promise to deliver right first time, on time, every time, the Blackburn based manufacturer has made significant investment in aluminium profile and hardware stock holding. For MD, Craig Miller, it’s the obvious answer for meeting the needs of installers. He said: “We have always offered one-week lead times on unglazed products and two-week lead times on glazed products and no matter how busy we are, we always deliver orders on time and in full.”

A significant stock holding makes all the difference to lead times for aluminium glazing products according to AluFoldDirect.
AluFoldDirect has a £500,000 aluminium profile stock holding and an additional £120,000 in hardware to ensure that orders are processed, manufactured, checked and delivered to site, in an unmarked van, in one week. Craig adds: “We promise the same lead times for coloured frames too. Aluminium windows and doors are delivered in any RAL or BS colour in one week unglazed and two weeks glazed.

“We’ve made sure that our promises to customers are delivered by investing in our fabrication team to ensure right first-time manufacturing and in a large stock-holding so that we’re never waiting for, or relying on, third parties to get an order out.”

The recently launched WarmCore Inline Patio Door has successfully been tested to meet PAS 24:2016 standards.
“As with all our WarmCore products, we designed the inline patio door with these security standards in mind and worked closely with ILH LTD to develop a bespoke bi-directional locking system unique to us, which is secure to PAS 24 standards when locked not only internally but externally too, unlike many competitor products.
AluFoldDirect delivers aluminium bi-fold doors, sliding doors and windows in one week, with glazed products delivered in two weeks. It’s even faster for stock size and colour roof lantern kits, as installers can have same or next day delivery.
All WarmCore windows and doors, including the SV slim vent window, flush sash windows and bi-folding doors, have been tested to PAS 24 standards, meaning they all meet the requirements of the Secured by Design security scheme.
“There are a lot of applications where a patio door may rely on external locking. This is a specification consideration which is often overlooked, and we believe we have the only patio door which offers this guarantee with standard hardware, giving our customers a unique selling point.”
Phil Parry, Head of R&D at Synseal Group, said: “We put the new WarmCore patio door through PAS 24 testing as soon as possible, as we

Morley Glass & Glazing has been named as the UK fenestration industry’s best IGU manufacturer in the fifth annual National Fenestration Awards.
Launched in 2013, the open platform National Fenestration Awards are run and decided completely by the participation of the industry. Instead of judges and panels, winners are chosen by the public. Winners of the awards will be invited to a special Winners Event by awards organisers in the New Year.
The business fought off stiff competition from seven other companies in the category, which was sponsored by Edgetech (UK) Ltd. The victory brings to a close an award- winning year for Morley Glass and its MD Ian Short, with 2017 going down in the company’s history as one of unmitigated success.
Ian comments: “This latest award win is fantastic news to bring the year to a close. We’ve always had confidence in our offer, and 2017 has been a big year which saw us launch a new website and home automation interface as well as invest £700,000 in a second IGU production line.
July saw Ian honoured for his contributions to charity and the community this month as he was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship from The Rotary Foundation in recognition of his significant support for its work. Three months later, he lifted the glitterball trophy at the Variety Strictly Ballroom charity competition for his sleek samba skills, raising more than £14k in the
“Hopefully this is a sign of even bigger things to come next year and we’re certainly looking forward to celebrating our 20th anniversary with a number of plans already in the works to make the next 12 months even bigger and better than the last.”
